A mother riding an electric scooter with her child approaches an intersection as a large truck makes a wide right turn across two lanes. The truck and scooter enter each other’s blind spots, leaving the mother with only a split second to react. She abandons the scooter and quickly pulls her child backward, narrowly escaping the truck’s wheels as the scooter is run over. Both mother and child escape unharmed.
