A runaway emu escapes along a rural roadway and prompts a response from law enforcement. The large bird resists capture, kicks repeatedly, and tries to flee before an officer manages to corner it, secure it with an improvised lasso, and put handcuffs on its legs to prevent injury. The animal is handled carefully, suffers no harm, and is safely returned to its owners, bringing the unusual incident to a lighthearted conclusion.
