An elderly couple walks onto an escalator in a store. As the old man grabs the handle, he is dragged away and falls over the railing. His wife manages to grab his arm at the last second and hold him in the air. A couple of shoppers drop their carts and spring into action, stopping the escalator and helping to pull the man back up. The rescuers quietly lave the scene without giving their name, saying it was a small matter, though supermarket staff later tracked them down to thank them for the selfless act.
