A police officer and an off-duty nurse worked together to save the life of an 18-month-old child who had stopped breathing. The toddler’s parents flagged down the officer, who was nearby completing another report. The officer immediately began CPR, while the nurse assisted with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Bodycam footage shows the child lying motionless at first, but after some time breathing resumed and paramedics transported the toddler to the hospital. The officer later said he was nervous but relieved the child pulled through.
