A new snow removal vehicle powered by a turbofan aircraft engine is successfully tested, using high-temperature, high-speed exhaust to rapidly blow away snow and ice while drying the road surface. The system is designed for use on runways, highways, bridges, and tunnels, and can clear wide sections of roadway in a single pass. The vehicle adjusts airflow based on conditions and is quickly deployed to support large-scale snow and ice removal during severe winter weather.
