Driver ejected during police chase

Police officer attempted to pull over a Chrysler PT Cruiser for a license plate/brake light violation. The driver of the vehicle, 30-year-old, then attempted to evade police and continued to drive. He then lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over. Driver was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. When officers checked on him, they found a child in the back seat of his vehicle, still strapped into a car seat. Police say the child did not appear injured, but was taken to a nearby hospital out of caution. Driver was also taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. During an initial investigation of the incident, Driver was found to have a suspended drivers license and was illegally in possession of a firearm.
